A new improved windowlist

The windowlist screenlet is the one thing I can't live without. I use it in combo with AWN launcher-only, but this will also be cool for people who just don't want to use the default bottom gnome-panel. The idea is a hovering windowlist, maybe looking a little like this: http://forum.compiz-fusion.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=825&d=1203192148

The important stuff:
- works basically just like any other windowlist/taskbar
- grouping of windows as an option
- can be put anywhere on the screen
- grows horizontally, vertically, and in several lanes if there are many open windows (all options)
- ideally it could be set up with some kind of Compiz Fusion window rule, that would make it rise above windows when hovering the mouse in the windowlist/taskbar area

The windowlist screenlet would obviously be worth looking at, and maybe also pypanel: http://pypanel.sourceforge.net/

If someone could make this happen, I would be eternally grateful.
