Unique ID Generation

With proper browser support for SVG almost here, ID collisions in documents containing multiple 'scoured' (with --shorten-ids) SVGs is inevitable. An option to generate unique IDs, preferably shorter than those generated by Inkscape, and perhaps based upon some hashing algorithm, would help to eliminate the potential for ID collision.
