Launchpad-style Breadcrumbs

Right now, SchoolTool has breadcrumbs and immediately below a navigation and action menu. In Launchpad, these are sort of combined. I'm not sure if SchoolTool could benefit from a similar arrangement. I think some prototyping is worthwhile, though.

Basically, in Launchpad-style breadcrumbs for SchoolTool, when one moused over the "home" in the breadcrumbs, you'd get the contents of the standard navigation menu. When you moused over an intermediate crumb, for example "sections" you'd either get the action menu for the object or perhaps a short, relevant list of links (sections you're a member of in this case). For the last crumb (the object you're viewing) you'd get the action menu.
