Informal assessments

Need a way to capture a range of other tests that do not get counted in the end of term / year average. e.g. a set of informal tests, or external tests that are useful for tracking student performance but are not part of the formal results.

Initial thoughts: One simple way to do this might be in the assessment set up sheets with a checkbox for “informal” exam. That way you can differentiate in the reports which tests to include (the set of reports we have produced so far would be the main formal tests but we could develop reports for the informal tests as well and for informal and formal tests combined)

An example term 1 assessment set might then be:
End of term test – weighting 75%
Unit test 1 – informal (no weighting)
Unit test 2 – informal (no weighting)
Unit test 3 – informal (no weighting)
External paper - informal (no weighting)
Continuous assessment tests – weighting 25%
