Change output format from AC3D to another format.

The output format should be changed from AC3D to another 3D format because it should be made easy for everyone to convert, view and manipulate the output of the software with free and open tools.
Probably it would be good to create a kind of plugin interface that makes it easy to develop more/different output format writers ?
