Submission Guidelines

Registered by Patrick W Deegan

We need to develop concise and specific submission guidelines. This includes format (RTF, PNG, SVG, others?), length (not one page, but either a char. count or word count), resolution minimums, notice for content licensing (cc, author, journal, etc.), and so on.

Based on examples Spencer sent some time ago:
http://fillip.ca/about/submissions
http://canopycanopycanopy.com/commissions

In short:
We need:
1) a list of styles and their parameters;
2) established and clear licensing code.

Whiteboard

Project proposals should be 300–600 words and include the following: a description of what the project is about, conceptualizations and necessary research, an estimated time line, and a way to do a mock-up (if necessary). Pitched projects should be well thought out, engage in rigorous practice and meet a level of intellectual curiosity that is not only stimulating but responsive. Baring those technical requirements, we are here to engage, provoke, poke and prod—to get you to do what you want to do.

To contribute, upload a project proposal as a document (PDF, DOC, PNG, SVG, RTF) to the SCALE website (scalejournal.org). We also invite already completed, independent works and (re)workings on the already submitted texts, images, etc. on our website.

Reaching out for something more is encouraged and appreciated: <email address hidden>

Ok, this requires more thinkin because the site doesn't support this at present. better to just take submissions, people can make proposals too...can make it a type...but this shouldn't delay the first issue...where do you see this being exposed....
