Investigate how to best do client-server communication from the IDE

We need to determine the best client-server approach for the IDE to communicate with the (ToBe) Salasaga Server process.
Most likely either JSON or SOAP.
Also need to determine which of the available libraries should be used (i.e. gSOAP2).
If we use GWT for the user interface on the server, as far as I know so far it can't do SOAP, and only does JSON.
So, it may be better for everything to use JSON, including the IDE.

Probably best to start after getting the hang of C++, as changing from C to C++ means we'll likely need to use a different JSON or SOAP library.
