Assessment and Placement

This is a placement test that assesses users' language skills and proficiency level. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills will be assessed through multiple choice questions, interviews, and essay writing. These data will be evaluated based on a checklist of criteria. Based on this evaluation, users will be placed in an instructional level appropriate for their proficiency levels. This placement is only recommended to users. Users have the choice to decline this suggestion and select the instructional level that they feel more appropriate for themselves. Initially, six levels of instruction will be incorporated in the design of this program: low-beginner, high-beginner, low-intermediate, high-intermediate, low-advanced, and high-advanced.
