Whiteboard

There are many JQuery sortable table (tablesorter) widgets. I'm looking for something simple and attractive, not complicated and ugly. It needs to be easily themable via CSS or JQueryUI. Link the best ones here and we'll evaluate them.

I think you're going to like this: I found and integrated (in this changeset: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~caneypuggies/reformedchurcheslocator/trunk/revision/55) a modified version of tablesorter.com's code here http://tablesorter.openwerk.de/ that beautifies the tablesorter using jQueryUI. So now the tablesorter has pretty rounded corners! It has a remaining problem: the table headers change from bold to regular weight font when I mouseover them, and that changes the width of the header cell in an annoying way. I notice that this problem doesn't happen in the uilightness_css jQueryUI theme (which I like better because it has more color, but that's just a preference), so maybe there's something missing in smoothness_css's CSS file. - Tim

Turns out the header font problem was in smoothness_css's CSS file. I fixed it in my copy but this won't fix it in others', so I'll send my change out to the jqueryUI ToscaWidget maintainer and see if he'll incorporate it in his copy.

I also fixed the problem where the arrows weren't appearing, first by linking properly to the blue theme's CSS file, then by deleting the blue theme and using the jQueryUI modification. - Tim
