Visualization for metronome feature

Registered by Brian Hilmers

Add a simple visualization for the metronome. A graphic that slides back and forth across the top of the GUI would be interesting. I would be happy with a single element that flashes in time (or two, as in left-right). I've seen a metronome that also highlights what beat of the measure you are on, but that seems like overkill. Might be something I can borrow from GTick (http://www.antcom.de/gtick/).

I abandoned visualization for tap tempo because the new code it really tight. No feedback needed.

Whiteboard

I could not get a metronome animation to work. I believe my lack of understanding about threading is to blame. However, the static visualization is very effective. I decided to add a white noise option to the frequency generator. After playing around for a while it was clear there was some usability issues. Tap tempo is now bound to the right Shift key, leaving the spacebar and left Shift available for navigation and activation of features. Also, I bound the Control key to the arrow keys so the BPM field can be adjusted in tenths.
