Secure credentials storage

Use the system to store picasa-web credentials :
 - gnome keyring (http://live.gnome.org/GnomeKeyring and http://www.rittau.org/blog/20070726-01 for pyhton access)
 - kwallet on kde
 - something else when previous password manager are not available ?

We could probably use python keyring (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/keyring), which provides a easy way to access the system keyring service from python and has a kwllet and gnome keyring backend.
