General Workload Use Cases

The following set of use-cases is proposed as the basis for the workload:

1. message update (add, change flags, delete);
2. message retrieval (more recent messages are accessed more frequently than the older ones);
3. spam management (marking, deletion);
4. user management (adding, removal);
5. messages bulk operations (add, modify, remove messages);
6. archiving (read then delete old messages);
