DevelopmentManifests

Registered by Diogo Matsubara

This specification outlines a proposal for recording the Manifests of "work in progress", essentially snapshots of package development underway by developers in the distribution community. In the same way that one can use Baz to commit locally, then publish those branches and revisions for all to see, DevelopmentManifests allow package developers to publish their work-in-progress for distro packages.

HCT will be able to connect to Launchpad and publish a new Manifest, which is linked to the author by the DevelopmentManifest table.

This specification is part of the HctDevelopmentCycle group, and provides details on the database and code support for identifying what a user or team is working on and has in their PersonalPackageArchives. For the full life-cycle of a package under development, see the larger specification.
