An automated system for managing migration of data [in a database] from one data model to another.
Currently Django is a bit hairy in that it offers no support for this at all. Django may throw us a bone, or we may have to do lots of work ourselves.

Currently we just document the linear sequence of MySQL 4 commands required to bring you "up to date". This is sufficient for our single installation, but becomes much more complicated with installations at different revisions.
