Convert translations from Codeigniter language files to GNU gettext

In order to operate effectively within Launchpad, and to get help translating the various language files, the application should be converted to use GNU gettext PO files, instead of the CodeIgniter php array method. A custom library should be found or written for this purpose.

Any information if something is happening about it?
I also have a need to maintain translation for CodeIgniter language files and inability to use Launchap to do it simply sucks.
- No I haven't got anything going on this yet. Any help or advice would be welcome.
