Bash tool internals

Bash tools inherited from Aspersa have no standard internals. There's a mix of command line options, environment variables, hard-code file and path names, subs that do and don't use parameters or expect certain global variables. This makes development and testing very difficult. So we're going to standardize the Bash tool internals.
We are doing this as we rewrite the Bash tools. There's no one way to standardize the Bash tool internals. Rather, we continuously employ better and better code practice in Bash as we learn and adapt to various needs. pt-stalk 2.0.3 is the first example.
