I would like to report an additional possible occurance of this bug.

I ran into this bug after upgrading a testing slave from 5.6.17 to 5.6.21. In order to isolate the problem I re-installed the system clean (Debian wheezy) and installed 5.6.21-69.0-675.wheezy. I then restored our dataset from SQL dumps to avoid any binary data problems with 5.6.

About 15 seconds after starting slave replication for the first time the master crashed.

The master I am replicating from is running 5.5.36-34.2-648.wheezy

I have attached the mysqld error log.
