Things to consider for version 5:
* New object model?
* Reorganize the code around objects (lines, arcs, etc.) instead of operations.
* Fixing the things that broken that we don't want to touch right now for compatibility reasons (e.g. thermals)
* Try to make the geometry more modular so that we could consider changing geometry kernels if we wanted to.
* Get rid of "layer groups" and make display properties object properties that can be derived from other properties.
