Syntax-highlighting support for more languages

Registered by Eric Pierce

Support syntax highlighting for most popular programming languages (not just Python). Build upon an existing syntax highlighting library such as Pygments, or simply switch back to QSciScintilla.

Whiteboard

Switching back to QsciScintilla now allows support for several popular languages, but it's still a pretty skimpy selection. It looks non-trivial (and very poorly documented) to write lexers for new languages. Would be awesome to build upon existing libraries of syntax highlighters instead of writing a new lexer from scratch for each one. Put it on the back burner for now until there's an obvious need & demand for better language support.
