I have made a new Plug with the help of the wallpaper-plug, see my branch linked ~tintou
Now being tackled in shell plug ~shnatsel
I would suggest that there would be also a wallpaper-section "Textures", because many users want somethin that is less distracting than a photo but more beautiful than a simple color-background. It would be very nice to have high-quality, good-looking, but non-distracting texture-backgrounds like wood, slate, chalk-board, frosted glas, granules (in different colors) and linen (different colors). And those backgrounds not between the photographed backgrounds but separate (the pop-up-menu in the lower left corner with a separate item "Textures"). ~Felix
PS: Of course these should not be photos of the real materials but graphical-made (but high-quality) textures. ~Felix
These days we have the Pantheon Shell plug. So I'd say this has been superseded. --DanRabbit
