Converted existing document to Word and started modifications - dforrest 20/7/13

A major decision which I believe needs to be made before I proceed further is whether we intend an install procedure which creates an OpenRails folder in "Program Files" (or "Program Files (X86)") and the associated uninstall entries, or do we propose the same file copy procedure as we have now? - dforrest 24/7/13

We would love to have a slick installer (and an updater to match it) but it's a big project to make it work in all cases so what we want right now is a simple and up to date version of the file copy procedure as we have now - cjakeman 28/7/13 (sorry for the delay)

I have a new PC so tried out the existing installation instructions. All the links still work fine. Only issue was downloading dotnetfx35setup.exe. This is a 2.8MB bootstrapper program which should, after prompting, download the dotnetfx35.exe, a 231MB file containing the material required. On my system nothing happened, but I was able to download the 231MB file directly. - cjakeman 28/7/13 THIS APPEARS TO WORK FOR ME.

Note above on "dotnetfx35setup.exe" but my system has it all installed already and I have no test system. Can someone with a test system try all these third-party install sequences? - dforrest 10/8/13
