This issue is more tricky than it seems in the first place.
Things to take into consideration:
- performance (as we'll have to migrate create_date and the like, we'll touch all rows on all tables - we have to do that on database level)
- correctness (daylight saving periods, historical dates)
- leave out fields meant as dates only (1/1/1970 00:00 must not become 12/31/1969 22:00)
