The merging of the French and English manual branches

The Help Manual hs been developed on two branches in both French and English.
To merge these it is proposed that Helen translates Olivier's manual data and merges it into the main manual branch.
Then Helen should prepare a .pot translation file for Olivier to translate the whole manual into French for a .po file (with relevant images) for the fr locale.
This is necessary because current convention in Gnome docs is for the parent branch to be in English, with the other languages suppied as locale translations.
