The initial features would be:
1. Make use of the warranty days to track initial warranty.
2. Assume all sales is with warranty and track default warranty
3. Warranty lookup up for product in CRM.
Phase 1:
* Receive a call from the customer and note compain and get the customer details
if customer is end customer then create a new partner.
* search the product by production lot number
-get the product
* search invoice by invoice number and invoice date
-if invoice number and date matches then it is internal invoice otherwise it is an external invoice
-in case of internal invoice get its warranty period
-in case of external invoice calculated warranty period from date of external invoice
