all period related lists show oldest first

account.period sorts ascending - meaing the current data are at the end of the list
while this is basically a desirable behaviour it will soon become redious and sometimes capacity consuming ( server/network ) if data of some years are stored.
I have already suggested elswhere to indroduce a fiscal year/period centric approach such as default the current year/period the user selects (at login?) will restrict the (most) lists to current/selected year
