select fields should use "visible" instead of internal field content

currently (trunk) values for select fields must be supplied using the internal values which are only visible for psql users.
example - Partner
"Account Payable","Account Receivable","Name","Language"
401000,440000,"test 3",German
401000,440000,"test 4",de_DE

test 3 is imported without language
test 4 is imported correctly - but how knows these values for all select columns?
only code inspection gives an answer - not user friendly.
