Hi all,
I purpose to use DOAP format (XML/RDF) to describe module (multi-language) and embedded address to download it. This format was used by Python Package Index and project.apache.org.
We can include
* required OpenERP version ex: <= 4.2
* module version.
* alternate address to download it.
* other...
The first request retrieve all module list, and for each module send request to retrieve DOAP xml file

I agree wholeheartedly! Let's use existing standards like DOAP first.
If there is something Launchpad needs in the RDF that DOAP cannot provide, then:
1. Notify the people behind DOAP. They might want to adopt what's needed into the spec!
2. XML allows you to mix in your own data without harming anybody—use namespaces. :)
