A popup warning if product is less than zero during sales.

During product sales, a popup message should be displayed to warn the salesman that the product is out of stock if that product inventory is zero.

I think you are right....
I should be done to improve the usability.
Products less than 0 IMHO doen't make sense.

Products with negative balances can be legitimate for example if you order stock, the delivery arrives but your staff haven't yet updated the system, but the customer is there and wants to take it away right now, then you sell them the stock; the quantity goes into negative temporarily. Some companies allow this; some don't. So this feature would need to be optional, but it is quite a valuable feature.
