This seems interesting and we can contribute as well. Current Hotel modules are really creepy, and they were developped (with really bad coding) for v5.

Let us know your plans on this, if you have tested the modules as well and so.

I've tested the modules provided by OpenERP and I thing these modules do not cover the functionality needed in a hotel chain.
i'm writting a summary of the whole project and defining several suprojects.
The main areas I'm working now is the Hotel chain structure definition (Diferent hotels belonging to the same fiscal company or diferent company, restaurants managed, or owned by the hotel chain, welness centers,...)
