VMware: map instance to DRS vm group
In case of VMware virt driver, vcenter cluster is exposed as compute node.
A cluster can have upto 64 ESXi hosts. After nova scheduler selects a
compute node, VMware virt driver uses the vcenter cluster reference
that corresponds to the compute node to place the instance.
Dynamic Resource Scheduler (DRS) [1] on vcenter cluster is responsible for
selecting a specific ESXi host to power on the virtual machine.
DRS has ability to group ESXi hosts logically as host groups and
virtual machines to vm groups [2]. Admin can define host group to
vm group policy on vcenter.
This blueprint describes how to schedule instances to specific
compute node that has a given vm group and associate OpenStack instance
to that vm group.
