Nova uses AMQP a lot. We currently have no way to validate that the messages are from a trusted source, nor do we encrypt the contents of the messages.
First, we should enumerate the stuff we pass over AMQP and evaluate how sensitive it is. Some things may only need to be signed, others may need to be encrypted.
Second, we need to design/implement the sign/encryption mechanism.

Someone helpfully pointed out that rabbitmq does SSL, so this really is entirely a configuration/
