Recovery mode for instances

Sometimes, an instance may fail to boot (bootloader misconfiguration, incorrect fstab, missing kernel, etc.)
Add a recovery mode allowing another disk/image to be attached to the instance and boot from the new disk device instead, similar to inserting a live CD into a computer in order to fix boot issues, without requiring an administrator to manually configure the hypervisor to do so.
