Support of exporting a virtual machine or a virtual machine checkpoint while the virtual machine is running. We no longer need to shut down a virtual machine before exporting.

this seems to be primarely about snapshots and live-snapshots. If I'm not mistaken, the Hyper-V driver already takes live snapshots of the VMs. - claudiub 2016-09-20
