Guest instances High Availability
During nova-compute downtime guest instances cannot be controlled; also instances may become unresponsive because of host/guest failures. This blueprint will explore what extensions can be added to nova-compute drivers (and related API) so that guest instance management is enriched with HA capabilities. Things like:
- restarting HA-enabled VMs impacted by host failures.
- reallocating VMs on a host coming back to life.
- live migration based on predictive mode failures
could be compelling features for certain types of workloads.

Whiteboard
The plan was to expose XenServer functionality using the Host Aggregates feature.
This work has been parked until it becomes higher priority.
This blueprint is too general to be useful. Needs to be split into specific features. --Vish
