Hyper-V: enable NIC teaming

Registered by Claudiu Belu

Microsoft introduced in Windows Hyper-V / Server 2012 NIC teaming, also known as LBFO (Load Balancing / Failover), allowing users to add multiple adapters and team them up, providing fault tolerance and increased bandwidth. Network adapters added to Hyper-V virtual machines can be enabled to be part of a team in the guest OS, benefiting from the mentioned advantages.

To enable this feature, the network adapters will have to set the Allow Teaming flag to True in the Msvm_EthernetSwitchPortSecuritySettingData object associated to each network adapter. [1]
