Cisco ML2 driver setup verification

There are several mis-steps which are easy to make when enabling the cisco ML2 driver. In troubleshooting several deployments, I keep running into the same set of problems. It would help ease of deployment if there was a script which could be run to verify these items. This would give the customer confidence that they have enabled the plugin correctly.
