RES-RSA v2 uses a small key size which makes it vulnerable to brute force factoring attacks (http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.netrek/browse_thread/thread/aae7b3365c472a66/eb860b691dbf2320). The RSA key size will be increased, but this requires changes to RES-RSA, client and server code and an RSA protocol uprev to v3.
