A Bridge between Firefox and Nautilus for control Download

Hi. I like the option that multiple file copying or moving is managed in one window.... File Operations Dialog
But i miss something: When I download s.th. with firefox, or some filetransfer with pidgin I wish this would be displayed in this file operations popup.
For making this bridge, this programs can acces directly to a slot of this implementation?
I mean, its enough to make extensions for this programs, or the code/slot of the File Operations Dialog has to be adapted?
