Implement a more concise --help output page

The output of --help or --help-all is much wider than a standard terminal configuration, sometimes making it hard to read.
The task would be do research alternatives and either extend glib2 (which is responsible to print this information) and submit patches upstream, or do a custom implementation on top of the glib2 API to do this.
Probably the best way in terms of the syntax would be to follow the MySQL server: It prints a very concise page when given --help, but if it is combined with --verbose it will print a wide and detailed version of that page.
