Improve TV show scanning

Registered by Oliver Brown

There are features that XBMC supports regarding media scanning that would be good to have (and not that difficult to implement).

Sprints

Whiteboard

 - Use parent folder as a fallback when identifying series

All the TV shows that I have are organised in a folder per show. I would guess this is a fairly common situation. If the video parser can't identify the TV show from the filename alone then the name of the folder should be tried. For example:

Stargate Atlantis/sga.1x03.avi

Should be correctly detected as Stargate Atlantis season 1 episode 3.

 - Support multiple episodes per file

This is very common with series pilots and occasionally happens for general two parters. Also if you have a DVD of a series ripped as a single file.

Friends.1x01-02-03-04

Should be correctly detected as Friends season 1 episodes 1, 2, 3 and 4 and trying to play any of those should just play the file.
