GPS Map plugin for elisa

Basically create a GPS plugin for elisa which displays data from open street map within elisa in the usual gps type of way. This would make elisa the best open source car computer front end available.
John Stowers did some work on gps recently, he also included python bindings, two aplications are now using his widget. It might be a good Idea to use it in elisa rather than code everything from scratch.
