Disable/Remove volume controls

If you're using SPDIF with a surround system you sometimes don't want to change the volume output, you always want it to be unmodified and then change the volume on your amplifier/receiver. I'd like to be able to completely disable the volume control in Elisa or perhaps even remove the buttons for it.
