Monasca Datasource for Grafana
Currently, Monasca relies on its own fork of Grafana. That fork was based on Grafana 1.9-rc1 and has several major limitations such as no means to save and share dashbaords. With version 2, the Grafana architecture has all the necessary extension points to separate the Monasca datasource from the Grafana product itself. This paves the way to adopting Grafana updates more quickly.

Conversations with Grafana Labs to make Keystone an official authentication method are on-going. Their preferred option is to first implement pluggable authentication and then for Keystone auth to be a plugin.
