Create a program on droid that, like mnemododo, rates card's difficulties, however differs in that it reads and alters .mem files.

Registered by Ben Shumway

The current workflow of Mnemododo is that you have to spend time loading cards to and from your android phone. This feature is annoying because
a) The syncing is not automatic, but instead forces you to load/unload cards.
b) When reviewing cards on the phone there is no way to review them on the computer and vice versa.

SOLUTION: Using SugarSync, a free program that syncs folders between your computer and android automatically, I can easily get mnemosyne .mem files syncing automatically. Thus, any changes I would make to one .mem file on my computer would sync with my phone and vice versa. Thus, I could create a program on my phone that runs exactly like mnemododo but with the added advantage of automatic syncing instead of monotonous manual syncing. To do this, I will need access to Mnymosyne's code to learn how to parse/edit .mem files, and to learn how the Mnemosyne algorithm works. How do I get this access? I'm looking forward to developing with you.

Whiteboard

For Mnemosyne 2.0, we are working on openSM2sync, a syncing protocol for repetition and card data. It will be a much better solution than SugarSync, as that only works at the level of files. With openSM2sync, you can add cards on your desktop, do reps on your mobile phone at the same time, and then have them sync without problems.

openSM2sync will be supported by the Maemo, Windows Mobile and iPhone clients, and probably also by the Android client, but Tim has not yet started on this.
