Extended file attributes for downloaded files

Under MacOSX, when you download a file using Safari or Chrome, the browser automaticly adds an attribute "where from" containing the origin url to the file.
I think this could be useful and not really hard to implement as the extended file attributes are already a feature present on the filesystem.
