Topics raised in meeting 11:00 25/7/12:

__Priority__
# Send mesh to Fluidity. Use a channel with a simple island within it and two open boundaries at either end. Coastlines = ID3 and open = ID4. Need to rate the ID's of the polygons to take into account overlap. Keep the lowest value or vice versa depending on user selection.

# Streamline the GradeMeshFromBathymetry plugin. Needs to be renamed as it is a misnomer as well as stagger the workflow. Import a single .nc and mesh it. Add various other .nc's as well as drawing polygons for regions of different resolution. At the end create a single .nc file with any math functions applied to it and create a .pos. The .geo will simply use this as a background and not append any other fields to it such as MathEval.

Topics raised in meeting 11:00 18/7/12:

__Priority__
# Boundary ID's. These are needed so that the mesh can be loaded into Fluidity and assigned boundary conditions. Will also need to be able to add arbitrary points along a boundary and assign this a new ID. Current goal will be to send a realistic domain to Fluidity and be able to run a simple model such as wave action.

# Have multiple layers which define the mesh grade for the final domain. Could be achieved using vector/raster layers and have a label attached to each shape with the prescribed mesh grade.

__ For future__
# Add error checks to the various plugins as well as a pop-up displaying progress.
# Fine mesh at large gradients of depth.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Topics raised in meeting 15:00 9/7/12:

__Priority__
# Graded meshes taken from bathymetry data. Areas of greater depth should have coarse mesh and vice versa.
# Able to vary the resolution by drawing shapes on new layer above the domain and saying 'Area inside shape x should have resolution y'.
# Varying resolution of coastline as used in Matt's Orkney mesh. Use different GSHHS datasets and combine into one domain?

__For future__
# Various projections inside QGIS - make use of Proj4?
# Boundaries defined by constant lat and lon.
# Try and replicate the Orkney mesh.
# Display ID's of lines inside QGIS.
