Colour notification area icon to show state information

Registered by Giles Weaver

The notification area icon doesn't do anything, it just sits there. It would be handy if the icon showed the state of Me TV.
It could change colour like a traffic light, green for no timers, yellow for scheduled recordings, red for recordings in process. Not sure what the current blue would be used for...
A further feature could be to overlay the time until the next recording starts (when yellow), or when recording will next stop (when red). Moving the mouse over the icon could show the current channel and/or next five timers depending on the state.

Whiteboard

a humble user (stanna) suggests. taskbar right click options? hows about the ability to mute/unmute from there, along with a submenu -> with a list of channel names for quick changing (as to not having to right click on the main display and disrupt the picture, ideal for a dual monitor setup).

bojo42: i don't think that the dual monitor stuff should be handled this way, as we have other plans on this -> https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Me_TV_Ui_Redesign . but the tray icon should have a slightly different function in the multiple displays case, as it should only minimize the main window and not the video window.
