More colors to organize categories in Maya

I am an avid user of Google Keep. I find the colored notes easier to reference when adding specific items. I fail to achieve the same preferences in Maya.

Example(s): Personal (Grey), Events & Appointments (Red), Birthdays & Anniveraries (Blue), Reminders (Yellow).

Currently Maya has a small indicator with the event beside it (0.3).
I think it would benefit to apply a full-block color for an all day event.

Maya 0.3 adds events to improper dates.

Ex: I added an event to Janurary 1 & 2, it added the event to December 31, January 1, 2, & 3. -- ?
