Drag and Grab on white spaces for scrolling files
Ability to scroll by grabbing and dropping empty space. This is especially userfull for Graphics Tablets, touchscreens, and simplified for mouses without a scroll wheel.

Empty space in the file view should be able to be dragged to scroll. scrolling files like the scroll bar. Users should be able to flick through the views. This should include scrolling with momentum.

How does one discern drag and scrolling by clicking on empty space from box selection?

There were some plans about checkbox-based selection. Personally i like current selection method. What do you think about such dragging only on left window margin (or all margins)? --grzesiek1e5

Adding grab-n-drag behavior would be awesome. It makes scroll bars almost irrelevant. The best would be to have a smooth transition between drag and select (e.g. double left click). The grab-n-drag plugin for Firefox does a pretty good job. Adobe is actually a bit of a pain as it requires a menu selection to switch between the two. -- ttosttos
