GPFS Driver for Manila
IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS) is a mature cluster file system used by some of the largest enterprises and supercomputers in the world. It offers a number of specific features and optimizations that fit well with the Manila shared filesystem service, including clusterd NFS (cNFS).
This GPFS Manila driver will provide the basic set of driver features, so that shares can be created, exported and managed on a GPFS backend, and specify
access to one or more virtual machine instances. The initial driver implementation will support NFS protocol only.

Whiteboard
Driver Rollout Plan:
1. Single Tenant Version version with GPFS client required on compute and controller nodes (NFS only).
2. Single Tenant supporting remote GPFS cluster (NFS only).
3. Multi-Tenant driver (NFS only).
Future:
- Native GPFS protocol (GPFS client on tenant VM instances)
- Other protocol support (CIFS, others?)
